Thanks very much for checking out my blog!
My name is Amanda. I have been living in Vancouver for many years. I was born in Hong Kong, so I am able to speak fluent Cantonese and read Chinese. But writing is totally different story…. Well many thanks to Google Translate, I can finally “write” some Chinese ;-)
I have an unique mix of interest: developing software (also happen to be my day job) and baking all kind of cakes, bread and cookies from around the world. I find the careful review of recipes and detail “baking resource” planning is oddly similar to detail of attention required in software development and planning.
Whenever I save up enough vacation time, I love travelling around the world with my bright orange backpack, basic point & shoot Canon, baby size laptop and my good old, low-tech, very worn out travel journal.
You may wonder what is ATB ?! People work in software development loves acronym. During a dinner party, some one has mentioned “ATB”. When I asked what does that stand for, he told me “Amanda the Brilliant”. I really like that term and have been using ever since, but after reading my blog posts you probably think it is more fitting as “Amanda the (mad) Baker” ;-)
Hope you enjoy reading this blog! P.S. Don’t read this blog with empty stomach, it will make you feel very hungry!!
