Making cake pop is a ton of fun. Even thought my first try did not turn out very successful, I am not discouraged and I will certainly continue to keep making more because it is just so much fun to plan with food.
I did not really plan to make cake pop. I just found it is an excellent way to use up the extra dome top of cake when I was trying to make flat top fondant cake. Don’t throw away your cake crumb and make pretty cake pops!
Use your best tool – your hand to break up the cake into fine crumbs
Took a bit of time to make my own butter cream frosting. You can cheat and buy store bought frosting but certainly will not taste the same ;-)
Mix a crumb with frosting. That’s it! this is how easy it is to make cake pop. No need to buy the special purpose machine
Form into *FIRM* cake balls and put in fridge for at least an hour to cool down and firm up
