1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of butter
1 1/4 cup of icing sugar
1 teaspoon of almond extra
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 cup of AP flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
with the addition of shortening, this cookie is very easy to control.
Cream shortening, butter & sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat egg lightly and gradually add to the butter sugar mixture. Finally add in the vanilla.  Stop the mixture and use spatula to fold the flour in 3 batches.   Preheat oven to 350F.  Put cookie into the cookie gun and evenly press out cool looking cookies.  Bake for  8 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
